Blackburn Rovers ought to be mainly focused on the battle to stay in the Championship at this moment in time.
Going into their clash with Norwich City at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon, the Lancashire side sit 16th in the Championship table.
Currently, they are six points clear of the relegation zone, with 13 games of the campaign still to be played.
As a result, they will have to work hard to keep themselves in the second-tier over the next few months.
Away from that though, it seems as though Blackburn Rovers may be set for disappointment in one particular transfer battle.
Nottingham Forest set to sign Adam Berry
Earlier this month, it was reported that Blackburn Rovers were keen on a deal to sign Adam Berry.
The left winger is currently a free agent, having left Manchester United in search of more regular game time.
While the Ewood Park club were seemingly keen to offer him that chance, the 17-year-old now looks set for a move elsewhere.
According to an update from Football Transfers, Berry is instead set to sign for Nottingham Forest, despite interest from the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield United and Celtic.
That comes after a successful trial with the Premier League club. Berry is now set to sign a contract that will keep him at The City Ground until the end of the 2024/25 season.

You get the feeling that news of Berry’s move to Nottingham Forest will be somewhat disappointing for those at Ewood Park.
Berry had made decent progress through the youth ranks prior to his departure from Manchester United.
The winger has also been capped by England at various age levels. As a result, he does seem to possess the sort of promise and potential that could have made him a good signing for Blackburn Rovers.
Indeed, given their recent success and reputation when it comes to developing young players, Berry could have thrived had he made the move to Lancashire.
Even so, you can understand why the chance to play for a Premier League club such as Nottingham Forest may have been appealing for the teenager, given the opportunities that could generate.
For Blackburn Rovers though, their focus still has to be on staying clear of the Championship relegation zone between now and the end of the season.
In that sense at least, Berry’s youth and lack of experience means he may not have had a big part to play in that, even if he had made the move to Ewood Park.
