The Blackburn Rovers academy has produced a host of future first-team players through the Ewood Park natives’ history. But who are the Lancashire club’s current Under-21 prospects?
First-team head coach John Eustace has a raft of Blackburn Rovers’ academy alumni in his squad at Ewood Park. Lewis Travis is the team’s shining light of their youth system after he assumed their senior captaincy in the summer of 2022 and has played in over 220 matches.
Blackburn’s current set of academy players represent Rovers in the Premier League 2. The division changed from the 2023/24 campaign to feature all of the 26 clubs with a Category 1 academy. Mike Sheron is also the manager of the U21s after taking over in September 2021.
