Blackburn Rovers saw a change in head coach back in February.
After a season-and-a-half in charge, Jon Dahl Tomasson departed Ewood Park at the start of last month.
The Ewood Park club wasted no time in securing his replacement. John Eustace was announced as their new head coach, less than an hour after the Dane’s exit had been confirmed.
Tomasson himself, did not take long to get back into management after his exit from Blackburn Rovers.
It was announced earlier this week that he has been appointed as the new head coach of Sweden’s mens national team.
However, it now seems as though that move may have been in the pipeline for some time before Tomasson actually left Ewood Park.

It was a few weeks after his exit from Blackburn Rovers that Tomasson was appointed as Sweden boss.
However, it appears that the interest in that appointment, started quite a bit before that, while he was still working with his former club.
In the wake of his appointment, Tomasson has now explained how his new job came about.
When asked when he first knew that Sweden were interested in him, the 47-year-old told Swedish outlet Aftonbladet:
“We’ve been talking since before Christmas. The situation at Blackburn was a bit different then. But I got the perfect feeling right away that I wanted to be part of that journey. The conversations we had were extremely positive and I got a ‘wow’ feeling that I really want to be involved”.
For their part, Blackburn Rovers are currently 16th in the Championship table, four points clear of the relegation zone.
They are next in action on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to Swansea City.
Blackburn Rovers unlikely to appreciate this revelation
It is hard to imagine that there comments from Tomasson will go down all that well at Ewood Park.
When he departed Blackburn Rovers, the Dane had won just one of his last 11 Championship games in charge.
That run has seen the club slide down the table, meaning they now find themselves in a relegation battle.
The fact therefore, that Tomasson was in talks about another role, rather than giving his full focus to getting the club out of trouble, will be frustrating for supporters.
Admittedly, he did get Blackburn Rovers playing some excellent football at times, while showing an understanding of the supporters.
There is also a strong argument that he was not given the backing he expected or deserved, from those working behind the scenes at Ewood Park.
Even so, he would likely have had even more credit in the bank with fans, had he persevered through that, rather than holding these sort of talks.
With that in mind, this revelation from Tomasson, may have dealt something of a blow to legacy at Blackburn Rovers, even if his success there means it will not be wiped out completely.
