Blackburn Rovers missed out on the chance to pick up three crucial points on Saturday afternoon, as they surrendered a 2-0 lead to Preston North End at Deepdale.
It had been the perfect start for the visitors, with goals from Sam Szmodics and Sam Gallagher putting them 2-0 up after 23 minutes.
However, Robbie Brady and Emil Riis both struck before the break, to ensure the score was 2-2 by half time.
With neither side able to find a winner in the second half, both were forced to settle for a point.
As a result, Blackburn Rovers now sit 17th in the Championship table, five points clear of the relegation zone.
That will give recently appointed head coach John Eustace plenty to think about as he waits for his first win in charge of the club.

Set pieces simply must be addressed
Throughout the course of the season so far, a vulnerability when defending set pieces, and in particular corners, has been something of a theme for Blackburn Rovers.
That was again the case on Saturday afternoon. Having only half-cleared one corner, Brady was able to produce an excellent finish in the second phase of play to bring Preston back into the game. Minutes later, they could hardly even get the first delivery out of their six-yard box, eventually allowing Riis to force the ball home from close range.
Had it not been for that spell of four minutes where they lost control when defending balls into their area, this could have been a very different result for Blackburn Rovers. New assistant boss Matt Gardiner has been described by the club as a specialist set-piece coach, and it seems he is going to have his work cut out in that respect.
Blackburn Rovers show a new resilience
It could be argued that on previous occasions this season, the Ewood Park club would have lost from the position they found themselves in at half time.
It has often been the case that when they have been dealt a setback in a match, Blackburn Rovers have regressed as a team, and allowed their opponents to overwhelm on the way to claiming all three points.
That however, was not the case today, and while they rarely looked like getting a winner, defensively they mostly controlled things well, and limited the chances their hosts had to claim all three points as well. Arguably therefore, this shows early signs of promise as to how the arrival of Eustace might improve the mentality of this side, offering something to build on.
Midfield now a concern
After Joe Rankin-Costello was forced out of a central midfield at Birmingham City on Tuesday, winter window signing John Fleck was handed his Blackburn Rovers debut at Deepdale.
However, the 32-year-old lasted just 17 minutes before he was replaced by Jake Garrett due to injury. That combination of Garrett and Sondre Tronstad though, appeared to struggle, losing possession on numerous occasions, and not really providing much in terms of supply for those in front of them.
With Rankin-Costello and Fleck now injury concerns, John Buckley only just recovering after a long-spell out, and Lewis Travis and Adam Wharton having left in the summer, there may not be many alternatives to that pairing available to Eustace. As a result, this could be a position where teams can look to exploit Blackburn Rovers, something they can’t really afford in their current position.
